Description
Charming Family Home in 'Het Spiegel' – Spacious Living in a Tranquil Residential Area
Located at Koningslaan 3 in Bussum, this charming villa dating from around 1900 sits on a quiet square in the popular 'Het Spiegel' villa district. This well-maintained family home offers five bedrooms, a sunny south-facing garden with rear access, and original features such as high ornamental ceilings, panel doors, and oak flooring.
The house has been carefully modernized over the years while preserving its character. It’s an ideal place for families who want to live spaciously and centrally, with amenities and nature just around the corner.
"It was love at first sight when we saw the photo of the house's front facade – impressively tall and beautifully designed. The moment we stepped inside, we were sold: the home felt inviting and full of atmosphere. Characteristic details have been preserved throughout the years of modernization, such as the arched facade, high ceilings with ornaments, panel doors, and solid oak floors. Both the front and back of the house offer plenty of privacy – no one can look in. The L-shaped rear garden with back entrance gives it the feel of a corner house. It offers a sense of freedom and plenty of space for children to play.
With a baby on the way, we were looking for a spacious home with a garden in a green area with good amenities within reach. There are three excellent primary schools and the village center within walking distance, and daycare and after-school care are just around the corner. The Naarden-Bussum train station is only a two-minute walk away, offering a direct train to Schiphol Airport in just 30 minutes. The A1 highway is five minutes away by car.
We lived here for eight wonderful years. We've enjoyed the charm and comfort of the home and created many cherished memories – both our lovely daughters were born here. As we now go our separate ways in harmony, we hope the next owners will enjoy this lovely home as much as we did."
